Making Things.
Some things Brian has made / helped make: He made Hold the Floor, a 24-hour record-breaking community filibuster about who gets heard in our democracy. He made the Local Selection podcast (making local democracy sexy!). He is a founding member of internationally renowned theatre company The TEAM. He created and was the first head of the pioneering BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice Overs, and Commercials program at Pace University’s School of Performing Arts.

Do you love a functioning society? Do you hate white supremacy? Well I have good news - you can help support the former and dismantle the latter by getting involved in local level democracy.
On May 30th and 31st, I led a community filibuster that broke a 63 year old record. We came together to call attention to the laws and policies around the country that silence the voices of some in order to amplify the voices of others. It happened to be the same night that the protests around the murder of George Floyd spread from Minneapolis to the rest of the country - and around the world.
A year of being in the right place at the right time even when it felt quite foggy in the moment, and a wish for a 2020 of clear vision for us all in the present tense, not just hindsight.
